I bought this 1990 si crx with clean title for 1600.00 cash. It came with the d15b motor port and polished head with si cam, cam gear, strut bar, kenwood cd player new*, wings west body kit. 3 rd gear slips on the trany. Do you guys think I honestly got riped off ? I dont think so. The guy I bought it from go's around tellin my friends he ripped me off. After he asked me if i would sell it back to him after he saw it all molded in body kit cleaned up. heres few pictures of it now. How much could I sell it for with a workin tranny in it ?. I had someone look over the car to make sure theres nothin wrong and there isnt. This was a person that works for honda that looked at the car.

I'd say you didnt get ripped off, unless it has a salvage title, or was in a wreck that u dont know about.

Whats the suspension setup?

Interior is in good conditon for rip in drivers seat typical for a crx. rip in door panel. Few missing pieces speaker cover back hatch thing. rather then that its good. How much would I be able to sell it for ?

 

tyko with skunk 2 springs in front. Choped springs in back. I dunno why he didnt finshed the suspension

 

i say u got a good deal..... i paid 2,000 for my hf , had a dent in the fender and was missing a peice of side trim but the interior was mint.

that is one clean car. Good find. You should see what I payed 1200 for, and you won't feel so ripped off anymore.

 

It wasnt so clean when I bought it. heheh looked like the body kit was shot up by a shotgun the car was tooth brush yellow. Few days of work and it was clean.

What’s the mileage? Nice price for an SI. It was too bad that there was a body kit.

 

when i got my rex it had chopped springs in the back and nuespeeds in the front, kinda crazy seeing a rex tucking 13's in the back

Why does it have a D15 if it's an Si. Good deal none the less. Car looks clean just do something with the motor and fix the rear suspension

250,000 on the car. the motor is a d15b. I have no idea what the motor has on it I was told it had about 40,000 on it but you never know. Port and polished head, MSD distribator, SI cam, Unknown cam gear. I wonder if I put a d16 head on how much the power increasement would be between the d15 built head VS stock d16 vtec head. Hmmm.

 

It was orginaly purchased at a auction with out a motor. Someone was just tryin to make money off the car. the tow company that impounded it I am guessing. It was bought for 300.00 at the auction with no motor.

 

I'll bet you $5 that the head isnt ported and polished..
People just say that....If it was done you would think the guy kept the receipts from something so expensive..

And that motor is just a 1.5 dx motor that comes in the 88-91 dx/std..except with the Si parts on it..
They prolly put in as a cheaper replacement..

And if you put on the original d16a6 head over the d15b2 you prolly wont know the difference..Since the only difference between the 2 heads is the cam..

you knew they bought it for 300 why you buy it for so much then? basically there's nothing special about that car maybe the motor is reliable but with 250,000 you dont know how much of the car is reliable and even though someone looked at it sometimes you cant tell just by looking. like my car fucked up studs fucked up wheel bearing fucked up tie rod fucked up half shaft fucked up brakes and I dont know what else haha

you didn't get ripped off but it's not a deal either the only reason I say this is because it looks clean and no matter what better body&gt;mechanicals in terms of value because it's what you see

Only if its a jdm d15b head,,Since its vtec..but not your d15b2,,

Try and find a d16z6 or d16y8 head and do a mini me ..

 

don't sell him his car back. **** him. he wants it now because you cleaned it up. also the chance you'll find a better 90-91 CRX SI where your at for that price is rare. CRXs are become few by the days.

i would be worrying about the guy who sold you the car. you said he wants it now, he might just vandalize it or steal it.

YEah he talks and says he has a extra key. So i put autopage alarm with the LCD key chain remote. 450.00 dollar alarm.
