Default Knocking coming from engine bay

Hey guys i'm about to buy an EG shell with a y8..Well..> i guess it's a complete car but i'd consider it sort of a shell because of the problem it has.

The car will run for about 10 minutes before shutting itself off. There is a knocking coming from the engine when in neutral/driving. Some people suggested it was something like the rod bearing or whatever... I just wanted to see if you guys had some input.

I personally know 5 people with blown y8's due to rod knock/ no oil, so it very well could be

seems to be coming from the block.. I only checked the car out so i can't really describe it in detail.. Its similar to knocking on a wood desk. I only heard it when he pressed the gas.

its a 92 Si though.... billstien shocks, gc coilovers, full interior minus carpet, deck.... amber corners.... everything works but its only 1200 so u think its still a good deal?

Id buy a 92 si shell for 1200 any day of the week, as long as the body is in good condition. definitely a decent price.
