now the million dollar question...what are some suggestions on fixing this? it's really a bad thing to look at every time i leave my apt...it's on the rear passenger side, and i'm tired of seeing it...anyone know if there was a recall b/c of this on the 93 ex coupe? if so, let me know

Get it cut out and weld in a new quarter panel.

and while you at it. reveal some of the paint around the decomposing and look for more rust. so you dont need to worry about this in the fufure.

You can weld new metal on it but that will only slow it down, eventually the rust will come back. Once rust starts its very hard to make it go away. If you do weld new metal make sure you take care of the inside weld points as much as you do with the outside. Alot of people will just weld on the outside and then make it look all nice with bonding glue, etc to cover everything up. but they leave the insides untouched. Rust will form inside as well which will put you back to square one.
