what better b18c1 or b16 from the si
i wanna know what motor would u take im not going turbo, just n/a, but i wanna my car to at least hit 9k rpm safe i know i gotta upgrades the valvetrain and also they told me the best piston for that is ctr my boy told me to go with the b16 motor and tranny and put an lsd so what ya think? o this is for an eg hatch
It depends... the B16 has a better tranny but the b18c has more power (in stock condition) I would go with GSR with 99 si tranny...just my opinion..good luck

well my boy told me to get the b16 cuz is cheaper
and not only that cuz the b16 is almost the same thing as the b18c5 so he told to the b16 drop itr piston and skunk2 valvetrain with the b16 tranny and put the jun program for the ecu well his doing something like that too to his eg

b18c is bigger, so umm yeah...
If you can afford it, get the b18c1, then upgrade the valvetrain and intake manifold and it will make power to 9k easy, plus it will have better low end than the b16

If you bore it out you're going to want to resleeve it. my plans include running 12.5+ compression ratio.
