Default 92 Prelude SI Squeal

My 92 Prelude has a squeal when it is started. Lasts a minute or so. I have tighten up on the belts but it still squeals. Any clues as to what else this could be?

my 01 5 speed base does the same thing when it starts, goes away after a minute. I'm looking foward to an answer as well.

I've had a similar problem with my '92 si. I think it's from a leak in the power steering hose, and the fluid is making the belt slip.

adjust the belts some more, might be too tight or too loose, just keep playing with it, make sure to turn on ur ac to make sure that is not squealing too, if it is, adjust the ac belt

Check condition of all belts. Make sure none are oily, cracked or stripped. Recheck the tension of all belts. If it still squels, remove power steering belt and start engine. If it stops then you have a problem with p/s belt, pump, or crank pulley. If it still squels then it is the alternator belt, alternator, a/c compressor or crank pulley. Check for any play in pulleys after removing each belt.

maybe you just replaced the belt and have to get it tightened or something. it takes a while for the belt to adjust thats why it has to be tightened.
