Default rough key hole and fan settings 1 and 2 not working

hey I have a rough keyhole on the driver side what can I do to make the key slide in and out and turn smoothly? I was thinking WD40 but what do you guys suggest?

also my fan only works on 3 and 4 and I know it's a common problem how do I make 1 and 2 work?

you mean when you turn the switch for air to blow out the vents in only works on three and four right? you need a new resistor if you take out the glove box on top of the blower motor there is plug unscrew the resisitor and change it out with new one go to local junkyard and get one i just had the same problem replaced it today

I used Super Lube, same as wd-40, but it leaves a teflon coating on the surface, worked for me. I think K mart sells it, if not use wd40

i prefer graphite lube for lock cylinders. no residue to be left on the keys.

In your pic, straight up from the 10, midway through the picture, is the blower resistor.

Just the black piece..
Unplug it,remove the two screws and pull it out.
Usually you can see where it is broken.

And don't be a cheapskate - buy a new one! One from the junkyard's gonna give you the same problem sooner or later. It's what, 28-30 bucks from the dealer?

WD40 is just going to attract gunk and gum up worse.

Does anybody know where to find this blower resistor online?

I'm looking at Honda Automotive Parts and I don't seem to see it in my quick search.

You just stick the tip in the hole and give it a couple pumps. Then you'll be all lubed up and you can put other stuff in the hole.
