you dont think all motor is expensive? lets say to hit 13s in an accord for example:
2 options: turbo or all motor

Turbo:
F-max kit, tuning, exhaust, clutch, LSD and slicks.

total: aprox: $4500 or so

All Motor:
H22a, I/H/E, clutch, cam shafts, valve springs, ECU, slicks, LSD and a **** load of tuning.

total : I will guess over $5,500

What the hell are you talking about? By lighter wallet he meant you'd be spending more money on an all motor setup.

All motor here. I do not think F/I and Honda even belong in the same sentence. The car is mostly out-classed in all organized sporting events, but I just want a 4-cylinder rice-burning family sedan that has some serious *****.

I have been trying to decide what to do
I think Im gettig a F22 from a junkyard and I will either rebuild it to stock specs or slowly build a turbo accord.

I agree. If hondas were meant to have forced induction, they would have built them from the factory like that. I am going all motor, except instead of swapping, i'm keeping the F22 and going that route. Some say its crazy, but i can see potential.

I don't entirely agree w/ if it was supposed to have a turbo, then it should have been made that way out of the factory.

How many vehicles that are turbocharged on the roads are from the factory?

Bleh, I happen to be a fan of FI, but no matter how you run the times you do or whatever, it's all relative, nitrous, turbo, all motor, props all around.

Oh, heh, and someone just reminded me I have a very nice non-VTEC F22 sitting out back collecting dust.

I like the na but I want some POWER and I think the good old F22 should work well once the right parts are in there. Should I make you an offer? or are you going to build one too.

I guess you probably know my answer here. ALL MOTOR.
My project has been expensive, but if it is done right the first time, a 13 second accord can be made for around $4000. I have been struggling to hit 13's here at our elevation of 3100 ft. It is a lot easier to hit 13's at a lower elev. There is a .8 second difference between here and sea level. Under perfect conditions at sea level my car running 13.48 here could hit 12.7 aprox. IF the effects of elevation are true. how's that for $4000.

Ummm, 13 second all motor, that's $4K above-and-beyond the H22 swap, right? And doing all your own labor? Not too many folks can do their own porting and polishing and extrude honing.

I was running 14.1 on the original h22a with bolt ons Stock Ecu at a slightly lower elevation. So I'm sure that 13's are possible with tuning. I do my own labor so yes it is cheaper that way. The $4000 estimate basically what I paid to have someone build my first bottom end. They assembled the complete motor. I put it in. Unfortunately it was built wrong and dropped a valve, but that's a whole soap opera in it self. So Above the cost of the swap $4000 is what it would take aproximately. I think the F23 can be made to do the same within the same budget.
Oh and I did forget the price of Port work and cams. Sorry if that was missleading.

ALL Motor here !!! wooooohoooo
now for one thing, im definitely gonna be running even higher compression pistons lata in the future but to save on some green early on, does anyone agree with me that the 10.6 compression jdm engine has some potential ? like maybe a head gasket that raises compression say .4 more to make 11:1 ?

and we gotta start getting estimates on doing complete head work -> port and polish, 3 angle valve job ...etc ..portflow.com does it for $900
