Indiglo gauges acting funny

Indiglo gauges acting funny
Does anyone have any idea why my indiglo guages only work right when it's cold? It seems the temp has to be around 55 degrees or so to get them to stay on. Otherwise, they just blink or don't work at all. Any feedback is appreciated.
BTW, I"ve already pulled the cluster out and re-wired them the to the dimmer switch and the hot wire in two different locations, and I still get the same result.
Also, I did not install them myself. They were put on by the guy that owned the car before me, and he's clueless as to why they do that as well.
