Default Help! IAB Question (searched)

Yo, I have a 94 civic dx. I installed a 94 gsr engine and used the gsr engine harness. I have wired everything (vtec solenoid, vtec pressure switch, knock sensor). I am not going to wire evap purge because it isn't necessary. But the thing I do not understand is, why do I have to run the black wire coming from the IAB into a 12v yellow/black (such as the one running through the fuel injector harness). If I'm using the gsr harness, then isn't it already setup correctly, and all I have to do is pin the wire to the ECU on my passenger side shock tower? Also, if anyone has a picture or could tell me what connector on the shock tower the IAB is, I would appreciate it. Here is what I did:

I hooked a volt meter up to the wire in the harness pink/blue and a pink/blue wire on the bottom connector (third one down) on my shock tower (engine harness side). I checked my cabin side connector and it was missing a wire where the pink/blue connected. So I pinned in a wire and ran it to my ECU (P72). I used the same pin that the P72 uses (sorry I cannot remember if it was a20 or a17, but it is the one that a gsr uses.

Will just doing this work? Sorry I'm extremely tired and I explain things in too much detail.

Also if this will not work, explain to me why exactly I must re-run the two wires.

If you ran the pink/blue wire to A17, the IABs will work.
