Default b16 motor frequenly goes into limp mode

ok story goes,i fucked my last b6 motor up and just got my car back with the new b16 in,i am using my same dizzy and ecu, when i turn the car on it immedietly goes into limp mode, wont rev up and if it does its realy slow and chugs.if i shut the car off for just a second then start it again it goes away? wtf is going on.at first i thought it was because my timing was off.did all that and re set base idle and it still does it.any one got any ideas?

it might be your main relay, if not, some other relay, maybe.

It can not be the main relay.

just replaced the main relay so that deff not it.
im not throwing a any codes thats the thing.its really really odd, every thing is the same except the new long block.also my throttle keeps sticking so im wondering if its the fuel cut.i noticed on my last motor then when i would give it gas whal trying to start it,it too would go into limp mode, but i just cannot figure this **** out.

So you checked your ecu to see if it was blinking ? And I really think your using the term limp mode out of context.

Limp mode is when your car retards the timing, throw more fuel out and lowers the fuel cutoff.

Are you sure your just not reving it up when its cold ? When you say its in limp mode when does the rev limiter kick in at ?

if your car was in limp mode it would have a rev limit at 3400rpms knowing from experience
