Default My EF's new heart

Got done putting the new motor in a few days ago and i took some quick pics.. my next plan is to get an HF heat shield and cover my ugly manifold up

??

Is that teh same kit you had on the a6? I remember it bein for sale on HMT? Was lookin into it but as usual had insufficient vespene gas, er... i mean money

i did have this set up on my old dx d15b2 motor.

quick run down of the parts:

d16z6 single stick vtec
p&p hf manifold, adapter plate
dsm t25
tyrus fmic
2.5" mandrel charge piping
dsm 450cc injecotrs
turboedit for fuel/timing
vafc 1 for vtec control
zeitronix wideband
greddy type-s bov
stealthmode ss oil lines
oem mitsu gaskets, blah blah
2.5" custom DP and exhaust
running 8-9psi
autometer gauges, etc



most of the stuff is on my website green91.com

I :heart: Dseries Turbo.

I put on a heat shield painted glossy black. It makes the setup look way cleaner. And it doesn't get hot enough to cook the paint off of the shield. My 1500degree duplicolor started to chip off of the manifold even with a lot of prep.

i used mega copper to seal off all the exhaust contact areas.. works very well.

i bought the couplers from stealthmode on homemadeturbo.com. i believe they are semi 2.5" ID radiator hose. they hold up very well! the piping is mandrel bent piping from jc whitney

my thoughts exactly. i attemped painting my last manifold and it just didnt hold up. i think i will like the look of the heatshield anyway, especially cleaned up and painted.
