Default paint jobs

this is kinda random, but i'm bored with the blue color of my civic, and I was wondering how much a new paint job would cost? It doesn't have to be top-notch, but should look good.

uh better get maco. I hear they don't do the best of jobs but they are dirt cheap, somewhere below 500 bucks

A different color completely? It could be upwards of 2 grand.

I went to maaco and got my paint job for 250 dollars. Its a hit or miss in maaco because i've heard many horror stories, but then I've heard alot of good things about them. my paint job from there held out very well for over a year and a half...until I got in accident. lol anyhoo...I'm taking my ek to get painted there. Its not excellent quality, but it'll do the job

p.s. search about maaco and you'll get alot of threads about them

he paid $800 and they did a shitton of bodywork and then painted, i saw it in person.. looked sick, said the only problems was a little overspray on the windows/rims, but thats an easy fix.... (put steelies on and take ur hood off if u have cf b4 paint)

One of the only problems with the maaco paint job is they use shitty materials but as long as they use a decent clear coat then it should hold up fairly well...

My friend and i just got done painting his car, for the first time. It's a two tone, bottem is a orange, and the top is black, the paint changes at the window line, it looks really sick. Took about a week, mabey 2, with about 2-3 hours of work a day. Took about 2 days to get every thing off the car, ie doors, side skirts, bumpers, interior, ect. then another 2 or so to sand every thing down, then we had to wait a couple of days while our guy at napa mixed the paint for us. One day to do the body work like shaving the antenna, trunk key hole and some other little stuff like that. One day to primmer, then about a day and a half to paint everything. Then another day to put everyhing back on the car. The total project ended up costing around 650$ that is for every thing like sand paper, paint, primer, and all other materials needed. The painting of the car wasn't acuatly that hard, it is mainly your prep work that is either going to make or break a paint job, but i say go for it, i always feel ten times better when i do something my self. Good Luck
oh ya and make sure that you pick a color that you are going to be happy with when you are done with it. Peace
