I picked my hood up friday (used) and after a lot of cleaning and scrubbing and t-cutting and polishing i finally got it fitted yesterday...i'm well pleased with it and its a good fit with possibly only a mm or two wider gap at the sides than the OE hood...i just need to be careful when washing the hood so as to let as little as possible water in at the engine through the vent
I have no idea of what actual make it is but its identical to the Ings or Shift hood so i'll call it an Ings one

I'm not sure that INGS makes a hood for the DC2. Am I wrong?

I have always loved the INGS aero for the DC2.

Flux- who sometimes daydreams about spending every weekend at the track and turning his R into a track only machine that looks like the one shown above...

If you look on http://www.takakaira.com in aero parts, you'll see the Ings hood and its identical to that one, as is the 'Shift' hood, and i think someone said the buddy club one is the same also, theyre possibly all made in the one shop and just marketed by the different companies.
T-Cut (brand name) is a paint or colour restorer, it lifts all sorts of crap and brings faded oxidized paint etc back up again
The fitment is good, but not as good as OE, but a hell of a lot better than some hoods i've seen, which have huge gaps each side. I'm pretty pleased with it and it seems to be really well made with good strong fibre glass reinforcement underneath....
BTW my girlfreind hates it, she said either it goes or she goes...i'm buying her a suitcase tomorrow!!!!!!

what? don't buy her a suitcase. the R > girlfriend.
it looks pretty good on the car. not feeling the sticker, but it's preference.

The sticker is there for a reason, as i said above the hood is a used one i got from a guy in the UK, the car it came off was a dedicated track car and had obviously a tip with a tyre wall or something at some stage and the clear coating on the corner i have the sticker was all glazed with tiny cracks, so i covered it with the sticker until i get the funds to have it wet sanded and recoated with clear lacquer again, its just a stop gap for now, but i kinda like it even though stickers were a no no till then.
