First pics of my GTI on HT..... nothin special =]
Hey guys, these are my first pics here.... Just a couple but tomorrow I will clean up the car and take some more shots, maybe some more artistic pics.
Anyway, I drive a VW and love it... had it for about 3 years. Don't worry though, I love Hondas too, almost bought a Prelude... and this forum seems to have a nice community going on.
My ride is stock... I meant it when I said nothing special.
With college and so much **** going on, I really don't have the resources, or the desire, to do serious modding... not my thing. Maybe some basic exterior stuff? I kind of want to black out the emblems and smoke the lights, make it stealthier.
The one thing that bothers me is the wheel gap and maybe I will try to lower the car this year. Obviously, to me it is the one thing I always notice. Does it really look that bad?

In terms of suspension, there is something I'm looking at called the Shine Real Street suspension which is supposed to be good for CRAPPY pot-hole filled roads like the ones I cruise through here in Boston.
The suspension setup looks so good but its like 800 or 900 bucks... no way I can afford that right now, not my top priority.

I feel ya. The exterior looks took a while to grow on me. I like the stock look a lot now, and that wide poke look is crazy hot.... but I can def understand people not feeling the factory look.
The interior is nice as hell. I'll post up some shots of that too.

you can get a cupkit for less than that
like inthe 600-700 range,
by h&r or weitec. or even kw...
shine charges a lot because they are a independant shop, that makes racign products.

My friend has the Shine kit on his GTI. It does not lower the car very much (which seems to be unacceptable around here), but its a hell of a suspension set up for the money. PM me if you want to talk to him about it sometime.
