random misfire in all 4 pistons ... ??? please help me
Random misfire in all 4 pistons ... thats the codes I got.
What I searched and learned
If the dizzy rotor wont spin by hand than it needs to be replaced. Mine wouldnt spin.
White powder on spark plugs means heat. Bought new plugs
Ohm levels on spark plug wires. Plug 4 was 13 , Plug 3 was 10, Plug 2 and 1 were 8.
What I replaced
Cap & Rotor
Spark Plugs
If the rotor still doesnt move, what does that mean?
Will the plug wires still need replacing?
Plug wires, could that be the real problem?
What else could it be? The whole dizzy?
TIA

Sounds like you might need a new ignitor. Also the rotor only went on one way right? If not and when you take the screw out and you could spin it flip it 180 and put it back.
Remember the spark pattern:
34
12
4321

yeah i got the firing order down right, I checked that right away.
Thanks, i will check the ignitor
anything else is appreciated

plug wires are often the culprit when it comes to those misfire codes. I would replace them first and then take a look at the ignitor if all else fails.

the ignitor coil didnt read when i check the ohm's on the positive wire to the ignitor spring ... the book said to replace it ...

An open circuit huh, that's a good place to start then.

did you disconnected the wires? if you don't you will not get ohms it properly. what's the ohms reading at A and B terminal? and A and secondary?
