i thought you didn't need to change the belt unless you got a different head or something. I run a z6 cam in my y8 no problems.

you use the b7 timing belt with an adjustable cam gear to fix the 1/2 tooth problem

why not use the A6 cam with the B7 gear if you don't wanna buy a new belt i don't see the cams being a differant diameter for the bolt holes and cam key.

88-95 cam gears are all the same.

B7 and A6 are EXACTLY the same.

So, Bone; will the A6 cam be 1/2 a tooth off, or is everything already timed fine? I ask this because I know that you have lots of experience with teh D's, and your statement about the gears being the same makes me more curious. I would like to do this to my boring D15 if it is that easy. TIA.

Bone ran an A6 cam in his d15B7. Stock its a half tooth off.

1/2 tooth advanced vs 1/2 tooth retarded

So a y7 cam gear would work on a z6?

Is that all thats different that design? or do they have a different # of teeth?
