Default Leaking Water in Cabin

So...I have a 1999 accord coupe. As many of you know, its been raining like *** in so cal

The driver side floorboard of my car is soaked (front and back) but the passenger side is fine. The seats and doors are dry so my sunroof and windows arent leaking

could this be caused by going through big *** puddles (4-5" of water)? My car is stock suspension wise, so its a damn near 4x4

Have you been drilling holes in your floor board again?

not since the last time I didnt use the jack point and the jack went through the floor board

I do ghetto rig my amp wires though, i ran them from the battery, through the fender and in the door. But the door still seals around the cable so I doubt thats it

yeah, i never put a hole in my floorboard. I guess I could check out the fire wall, ive never altered any of the gromets though

could it come through the holes for the pedals?

the only weird part was that the back had more water than the front, and there is a little hump under the seat so I dont know if the water could travel over that

your best bet may be to take it to the honda dealer... if you havent done anything to your car or got into an accident then you have nothing to worry about... so just take it in and ask them whats up

I'd check the seals on the door, particularly the lower seals. I can't think of what else it could be, if the window isn't leaking.

I would bet that's where its coming from, try putting a new groment on and you should be good to go.

there is no gromet...I honestly ghetto rigged the hell out of it. It just comes in where the door meets the cabin. So when I close the door, the cable gets squshed between the door and the cabin

then I run he cable from there, behind the center console, and under the floor matt to the amp under the passenger seat. The speaker wires then run along the door sill, under the plastic in the back through to the trunk

took me about an hour to install the whole system

why are you driving through rivers?

I would just check all your seals and grommets, no you know it's from the driver side you can pin point the location .

Check the floorboards as well for any places where water can get through. It has to be coming in from the drivers side so the heater core is not an option.

Sounds like it's coming from where your wiring is coming into the car, take it out and do it right.

Hey, if u ran your +12V wire trough the fender and the door, (it passes between the rubber seals around the door, well that would be your problem.. I did the same on my 94 accord and everytime it rained badly, i had a nice big puddle of water on my passenger side floor..
