Default Can I remove this thing....

Ive been doing some engine bay cleaning/revoming after some inspiration from Kid-honda's engine bay and I was wondering what this thing is and Can I remove it? It seems as if it is connected to the throttle cable braket with 1 bolt but Can i just unbolt the thing and it be fine? No emissions here in NC

I am pretty sure it helps when you let of the gas. Say your doing 50 and just let off the gas. Not sure though.

yea just take it off man, my car just started idling real funny and I couldn't figure out what it was/ I have an OBD0 LS and my friend has an OBD1 LS, and it didn't have the diaphram on it, so we took it off, and the problem stopped

take it off, it's an a/c vacume, if u have a/c. it will up the throttle when u turn it on. it's pointless, throw it away.

I removed it when installing the AEM intake. Haven't felt any difference. We think it might have something to to with real cold weather. The diaphragm can't make the throttle open more than to make the engine rev up to 3000rpm. And the only way it will get activated is if there's created a vacuume inside it (air is drawn out of it and into the intake). Please correct me if I'm wrong
