should I sell my accord and buy a lude?
I currently have a 94 accord lx coupe and I'm planning on buying a h22 or should I get a 97 up prelude and build the motor? My car weighs about 200 pounds less then a 97-up prelude. How do they feel?
They feel great!!!!!, handles nice and pulls hard enough stock. Yes get a prelude cuz its sexier than any accord ever made....and plzzzzz don't get it all riced out. Later.....

I dont know about that. I would have to say the euro r accord is sexier then any prelude ever made.

Absolutely-without a doubt buy my 99 CBM(in classifieds). You won't regret the decision to buy a Prelude. The only reason to stay with an Accord is for the added passenger space in the rear. If you are simgle or don't p[lan on having a family, this is a great daily, highway car. Works well for HPDE and autocross-even if it is heavier than some of the competition. As you already know Honda's are legendary for their quality and reliability-the Prelude is generally on the top of that list.

What are you saying a accord cant handle or somthing. My freind with a prelude Sh thought his car would out handle mine.He has suspension work and what not. I took it for a drive and it handle like crap compared to my car and his car is way lower then mine. The lsd with the flaken azenis owned his ***.

1- You assume his suspension was done correctly, which may or may not be the truth. Being low doesn't necesarily mean being good.
2- LSD is quite a step up from a basic setup. No way that ATTS can compare in my book.
Are you trying to say that if an Accord and Prelude have the same basic setup (stock vs. stock, good coilovers and an LSD vs. good coilovers and an LSD, etc.), the Accord will handle better?

Well that's your opinion, it just looks like a typical 4 door sedan type of car, body style that is. Im not hating on it, but preludes just looks sleeker...and that ain't just not my opinion but its just simply true. The accord I like would be the 2000 style coupe, the 4 doors look clean too. The newest 4 door however looks gay, the taillights got all retarded in shape. I thought the new coupes was too round at the back but now that I got used to it, I think it looks pretty tight...kind of reminds me of a benz sometimes cuz of the tail lights. The 97 style accords are nice also, just cuz of the over all shape, it doesn't have any gay looking shapes like the new accord sedans, the back is just retarded on those...the tail lights look all sad in shape.
the answer to this is actually really simple....
Dont get something because other people tell you to (in reference to a car, not performance things), because its about what makes u happy. Do you like your accord? Do you like the prelude better? Who cares what other people would do, what would make u happy? Anyway, id much rather drive a 4th gen prelude than a 5th gen. 5th gen's are girly cars. The front is way too long, the long rectangle headlights are straight retarded, and the overly small / flat back looks stupid. I love my 92 prelude Si, and would never get a 5th gen over it. But do what would make you happy

i say you sell your accord and get a 67 pinto on 24 dAWg. On a serious note, get a 5th gen they are great cars and pretty much everyone that has ones likes it. I love mine and it pull pretty nice after you get it out a tad ever bone stock.

with a 200lb weight advantage, the accord is gonna handle better. they're both double wishbone suspensions, and the wheelbases are similar. with enough simple suspension upgrades (sway bar, shocks, springs) the accord will handle just as well as the lude, if not better.
you can't beat curb weight.

My accord has H&R race and Kyb Adjustables and it handles pretty damn nice. Probably just gonna keep the accord and do a jdm h22 with lsd.

You wont be dissapointed.

I think the simple answer is to drive a prelude and make your own decision. We can't tell you how it feels, only you can. We can tell you what's economical from and engine building perspective of course.
