depends on what you would use it for. if you have to pickup alot of stuff then the truck would be better. but I would lean for a Type S still

Definitely the coolest truck ever, but do you really want to drive a truck everyday?

A friend of mine has a lighting on 22's with a 2"drop jsut in the rear to level the truck out. It is nice, and has good power. But it is still a truck and it will never handle like a sports car. I sold my old teg for a truck and i hated it, hence the reason i sold it and got another teg.

Also consider, F150 (im asuming its f150) have some of the worst crash ratings..

well you know that lightning will break off the rsx pretty hard. its going to take a pretty decent amount of work to be able to catch up.

i dont know though. i hate fords, but if i were to have one, this would be it.

I'd choose the RSX-S.
BTW, it would've been helpful for you if you had made a poll about this.

Can you get a lightning for the same price as an RSX? Even than you are comparing different vehicles.

I would wait for the Toyota X-Runner to come out if you want a fast truck, 240 hp, 275 tq, over .90g on the skidpad and a six speed.

If you're getting the car for free than sell the Type-S drive the truck around, and for the money build yourself a EGK20A.

It is out. Ran next to one on the road the other day. Quick truck for sure. I saw it in the blue though and it looked kinda funny. I could tell though that in black it would be sick *** hell.

Those old style f150s look like a girls ride. 5.4L supercharged is hard to pass on tho. Why is your dad getting rid of it?

it would be alot easier decision if it was the harley davidson edition just becuase those are really nice, and it's available in 4 door, but since the lightning is 2 doors and only sits 2/3 people (not sure how many) then it's harder decision. I say just go for what you have more purpose after all the RSX you can fit 4 people in the car

Another factor do you have to pay for the lightning? Do you pay for the rsx if you do and don't have to pay for the truck then go for the truck save some money

dumbest comment ever... ur deciding whether to take the lightning or not based on the fact that u heard people say they are ugly? my friend, this would be an opinion.... do u like it? if so, take it. personally, i love the lightning, and the only thing that would keep me from giving up a type s for a lightning is that the S is stick where the lightning is only auto...thats just my opinion tho....

ps: BE YOURSELF

I'm selling my S2000 to get a Lightning.... Insurance for my S2000 is 170 and for the 01 Svt Lightning it's 88 bucks. Goes 13's Stock pulls a .85 on the skid pad, and toes 5000lbs. For a little under a grand you can go 12's in the quatermile.
