(very off topic) Hondas new 1.3L 4 cyl intercooled turbo watercraft
Honda will be entering the Personel Watercraft market with a very good contender. Their sit down watercraft will be the first four stroke 4 cyl watercraft motor and will be the only one that is force inducted. I have no idea what the power output will, be but in order for it to compete it will have to be in the 150 range. I know what I'm buying next year.
What is this crap?

165hp. IHI brand turbo. the engine was on display by itself at the motorcycle show. the intake manifold consisted of 2 plenums connected by a 2.5" tube. kinda strange, but awesome to see honda's interpretation of a turbo'd engine.

The GSX-R1300 ( busa ) makes like 180ish STOCK WITHOUT A TURBO !!
BUT I bet the turbo honda makes MUCH MORE TORQUE...

i've seen a (p)review of it, and another competitors watercraft outperformed it in the top speed, and they noticed the slight turbo lag.
Obviously if i were to purchase one, it wouldn't remain stock for very long, and it also has more power potential (with ease) than other watercrafts i would assume!

Once Honda came with there Turbo watercraft, Sea-doo now has a supercharged watercraft too they just came out with!!! Next thing you know people tuning watercrafts with a standalone and wb on the water running 20+psi of boost

has major power potential... I have had some experience and I love them!
the testing done was with the factory speed restrictions still in place... first thing you have to remove is all the electronic limiters. safety concerns of these high speed watercraft these days and all.

theres already a huge aftermarket for this kinda stuff. people have been turboing watercraft well before honda did it.
btw dee, this thread is a year old someone dug it up. maybe it was news back then

Yea, I dug it up, posted, and compelty forgot that its old as hell... Opps.. Is the first time, I use the search a lot, and sometimes I get caught up in the threads and reply to them... I guess Its better than re-posting dumb questions...
