HELP! install of a MSD dist cap on eg6

ok i bought the right cap 8292 but what do i do about the lil tower with the spring in it that is poking up? it prevents the cap from sitting all the way down.

i believe you have to remove the factory coil for the new cap to fit.

The coil DOES need to come out, it is made so that the cap can be used with an external MSD coil, IE blaster 2 coil.
I personaly did not install my cap. but there were no troubles with my installation.
