Default your 2 cents

im about to get a hatch a 92 civic hatch hx for 2300 and i thought that was a pretty good deal and after checking it out i was for sure gonna get it. it has a clean title, no accidents and stuff and there is nothing really wrong with the car except for that is has like 300,000 miles. i mean i was planning to do a motor swap in the near future anyways but is this car still worth getting. i dont plan to keep it forever and might want to sell it sometime so would the mileage on the chasis really matter. what do you guys think

you mean VX.....since most people, just use the shell, the rest is usually out, and upgraded...then its not a bad deal...$2300, is also not all that of a super deal....

since most likely the bearing/suspension will need to be done, motor/trany, maybe some interior pieces...

Seems expensive to me. I know it sucks looking for a clean eg w/a reasonable price now a days. I was once looking for one until i decided to keep my car. But good luck.

the only thing that wears out after 300,000 miles on cars ( that you're not gonna repolace) is the suspension bushings these can get really bad after so long but if you can get the car for about $1700 and get yourself a CTR suspension and wheels for about $1500, you then have a 96-up car for $3200...think about it. As long as the body is clean and dosen't have a bad cigarette odor, (My pet peeve, but you may smoke) get it and love it...

as you asked my .02

Here in Atlanta, a 92 VX with 300,000miles, no engine problems, and no body damage blue books for $2755. One with visible body damage (hail dents, scratches, nothing major) and minor mechanical defects, blue books for $2250.

Sounds like a pretty decent deal to me.
