do i need a special tool to take out rear main seal? And what about putting in a new rear main seal do i need a special tool for that?

 

i use one of those snap seal pullers, and to reinstall it, just use a socket that's big enough and tap it in gently

 

Use a screwdriver and pry it out

 

to pry it out i like my little snap-on poker tools, i have one that has a 180 degree rounded tip and that worked great, and yeah just use a socket to get her in.....but dont go too far b/c you wont get it back out without ruining it....

 

Use your old rear main seal to tap in the new one perfectly straight
