Im pretty sure I need D-series EG mounts, but will any 92+ D- series civic axles and shift linkage work?? Also, can I put the obd1 (EG) wiring harness on the obd2 (EK) engine?? thanks!!

What a fast cool idiot!!

Mounts should be the same. The Ac bracket is a little different, but other then that, I used the mounts that came off my 92-95 civic to put in a 96++ d-series in my 92-95 civic with no problems. Shift linkage and axels are the same. The wireing harness should plug in, except for the distributor. Good luck.

Yeah, you should be able to plug everything up just fine (with the exception of some intake manifold sensors, and distributor). Axles, mounts, transmission, etc should all work fine. I'd personally try to find a different intake manifold.

I put a d16y7 into an EG with a d15b8 tranny and IM and it worked flawlessly. As long as you use the OBD1 wiring harness you shouldn't have any problems. I don't know if the y7 manifold with work with the OBD1 harness because I used the b8 manifold.

ANd you'll need an OBD1 D-series dizzy as well.

So an OBD 1 D-series intake manifold will bolt up fine? I could find those pretty cheap right?

i've done a bunch of swaps you can use your stock harness, but you will have some issues as far as wire length/location and different plugs on the OBD2 motor, it can be done just take a lil time to re pin the correct plugs to fit the obd2 sensors also you would need to get an obd1 dizzy and a obd1 dx ecu. I think it would be easier to get an obd1 manifold/injectors everything will plug in and your set.

yes all the d series should bolt up, I would go with a dx or an ex. Come to think of it my freind is takin out his 93 DX motor next weekend he might be willing sell it ill ask him if he wants to get rid of it.

yea the cx and vx manifolds should work as long as they are obd1, the cx i had so i know it will work but the vx which i have never seen should too I dont think that honda did a center throttole body location on those generation motors so you should be good.

the diff with the vx is that it has a egr valve bolted to it and it smaller than the dx/ex/si.

The easiest thing to do would be to get an obd1 distributor, alternator, and complete intake manifold(including all sensors and injectors).

Also, dont wast your time with a cx intake manifold. They are puney, and the cx injectors are smaller than other d series.
