Default checking if radio is still good

hi.. i had this cheap kenwood in my eg and i decided to get a better pioneer radio.. when i last took it out it was good.. i was wondering if there was a way i could keep to see if its still good without hooking it up back to my car.. like is there a way to power it without hooking it to my car and is there a way to get sound out of it without hooking it to the car?? tia

so any shop that installs systems or any shop that just sells stuff?? cuz i know of a shop that only sells stuffs but doesnt install
