Default intercooler piping routing; 5th gen prelude.

is there anything wrong with routing IC piping through the little wall on the drivers side around to the front? everyone seems to go through the windshield washer fluid, but why? i figure just make a 180 around through the metal and keep it simple right?

You do not want too much angle in the bends. Angle = restriction. That's why most sacrifice the washer reservoir.

fyi, 95 accord here (similar to your lude) and I'm sacrificing my windshield washer tank. I don't think I've used the bitch in years anyway...

On an OT note...running I/C piping on a honda is so much ****** easier than a dsm. I had to big cut 2 wholes on the each side of my radiator that were there just had to make them alot ****** bigger, (endtanks face towards engine bay), angle my radiator a little, take out my a/c fan, adjust the power steering coolant lines, relocate my radiator overflow tank to fender well with heavy duty zipties, and on top of that i got a shitty ebay kit so i had to junkify my stock piping some and use it here and there... It's so ghetto. So just be happy you don't have the problems us dsm guys do, lol You shouldn't have trouble just find the easiest route yourself, and go for it.
