I know people run mechanical oil pressure into the cabin with no problem...can fuel pressure be ran also? I dont really see how burning hot oil is any safer then fuel.

I think it's more about igniting the gasoline inside the car than hot burning oil on your feet.

Why would the gasoline ignite? Oil ignites as well, granted not as easily..but it does...no?

Why not just get an electric guage? Probably much safer, but i dont think as accurate.

Guess you want beat down with the big ugly stick!

Gasoline will flash burn 20 times easier that engine oil.

Good news, get a short sweep fp setup from Autometer for about $70. No need for the $200 electronic setup.

Also might wanna look into Nordskog gauges.

I run mechanical, and it IS safe. Fuel does not come in the cockpit as there is a diaphragm in the line on the motor side of firewall. I use a metal fuel line connector courtesy of a buddy in the Metro bus system...

Yeah the only safe way is to run the diaphram. My friend tried it on his car and had a pain in the *** time trying to get it to work right though. Also NHRA rules don't allow fuel lines in the car for this same reason. If you ever had an accident and the fuel line got cut, would you be willing to guess at the results?

Hmm...the short sweep doesnt seem accurate enough..I meant it does from like 0 - 25 - 50 - 75...I would think its hard to tell a differance between 35 and 40 PSI

They make an isolator for 100psi?
I've only seen and heard of isolators for carbs that go up to 15psi.

Well, against the FP reading @ the Honda dealer I think it was about 3-4 lbs. off at idle. Should run it off in a little bit more scientific manner though....That is a good question - can you ever believe a number when you see it - better check all you can.

then check into Nordskog Digital gauges.

BTW My 86 TA has a nice red lit gauge cluster, guess which I'll be using?

Nordskog is the original, Cyberdyne might be using their products.

Happens more than you think!
