? on height of Del Sol seats in EG
I just got a set of Del Sol seats for my EG, and i've read that theyre slightly lower when mounted w/ the civic's rails. How much lower are we talking about? And will it be a problem with airbag height?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!
i think no more than an inch difference. air bags are not meant for a certain height other wise you car would have been custom made to suite your height

I've just heard that some aftermarket seats aren't situated correctly for safe airbag deployment, so I was wondering if the seats are that drastic of a change.
An inch isnt bad at all!
Thanks!

i have del sol seats in my eg and i love them. They sit about 1.5-2 inches lower. Its a big-time noticable difference. But its for the better. Feels sportier and they are WAY more comfortable then the crappy eg seats.

Nope, won't be a problem. But if you want to be sure, get tilt wheel steering.

So why is it that small kids (under 4 years or 60 lbs) can't sit in the front seat when there is an air bag. True this person is probably not either one, but it still does have a slight effect.
This is a good question, I've been looking to get some del sol seats. Seeing as I'm 6'3", sitting a little lower would help.

I would think that being so small, a child could get seriously injured, maybe even killed if an airbag went off. I can imagine the airbag popping so strong, that it could break a neck.

Yes, that's what I assume...The airbag is set to inflate at about breast height, with our faces hitting the upper portion- im assuming a small child getting the inflation in the face can snap a spine or choke them or something....
If it doesnt lower it that much, then no worries!

just put mine in, they are lower, but not that much lower, more of a sportier ride. if you want your air bag in yoru chest, lower the steering wheel, i did, wasnt comfy but was possible.
