Horrid pic I know, but it's to the point. It's neat cuz actually only 1 bulb in the entire gauge cluster is amber, and I got it set in such a way that as the revs go up on the tach the red color gradually gets darker. By the way, I didn't dip the bulb in any kind of amber paint. I salvaged the bulb from I think a C4 Corvette, or it might've been a C5. In any case, the bulb plugged right in.

if you read then why did you need the questions to be answered?

What bulb?: LED
Did you use paint?: No, it's LED
Did you buy amber bulbs from pepboys?: No, it's LED

Kinda self explanatory isn't it?

these are incandescent bulbs. a mix between pre-colored #24's from local parts store and a few #74's i colored with an orange sharpie (i wanted gas and oil temp to be slightly off-set)
