Has anyone tried tinting windows ?
Pretty difficult for some people, really easy for some people. Depends on the person, its time consuming for someone new to it, and you'll probably be redoing it atleast once. Side windows are easy, back windows are a pain in the ***. Good luck.

you need a good amount of water and you have to squigy it good. It is a difficult job to do. I have seen very crappy tint jobs. I would save up.
i would just spend the money dude i have seen people try to do it themselves and there is always air bubbles somewhere just save up and have it done the first time
normally im a do it yourself type of person, and i looked into this, but i would get it to a shop if you are picky about your car.
ive tinted the windows in every car that i have owned. For the front windows I find it easier to pull out the windows completely so you can just lay them out flat and lay the tint over it. Behind driver windows are tuffer especially the back one. I normally take it to a professional for that window but other than that, alot of patience, a blow dryer, good tint, squeege( is use a credit card) and a clean working environment you should be ok. Just know what you are doing ahead of time....
This site http://www.tintkits.com sells pre cut tint film for specific vehicle application. Takes out alot of the work involved in laying tint smooth with out wrinkles, dirt/dust, and badly shaped.
Actually if your good at it, the tint to cover all the windows in the lude would run about 22 bux with tax (2 boxes of 9.99 tint at your local auto parts store) would be good... But then agian i stick to my above post. Find a good price to have it done, usually runs in TX about 100 per 2 windows...
Plus most places will lifetime warranty it from cracks, bubbles and other nasty things.

LOL - it's funny to read this old post. But I must reply as I tint windows for a living. My shop offers a liftime warranty against bubbling, fading, and peeling. And we'll stand behind all those gaurantees. Not to mention everything is pre-cut on a computer. All this for $170 - $180.
It's just me and one other close friend that do the work. We can tint pretty much any four door car in 25 minutes - of course their are just a couple exceptions. All this comes with about 4 years of experience tinting windows. Practice makes perfect.
As for the 5th gen prelude - The only concern I have is getting dust inside the deep molding running the side of your window. It's a llittle tricky, but it can be done. The rest of the car is cake if you know what your doing.
And if your looking for tint - the ONLY tint I have never seen fade in four years is Lumar. It's a little more expensive, but it's worth it.
