Hey all, im doing the oh so new B swap into my 90 CRX and im unsure where to start. This is my first swap so im looking for any info. Obviously I know I need the mounts and the engine and tranny, so besides that, what other parts will I need to change? Not sure about axels or headers, or what parts from what cars will fit, hell with it, any and all info would be appreciated.
Im sure this will also generate comments from the "honda gods" who know everything cause they've done a swap or two, so before I get responses like, "******* noobs, you should all be shot" or responses reminding us of how helpless we all are, i'll tell you to save your typing. You were like me once. Im asking for help before I rip everything apart, screw myself and get stuck. Thanx in advance to everyone.

If you get a B18, you will need shortened 90-93 Integra linkage (by 2 3/8 inches).
90-93 axles
The B18 exhaust manifold should bolt up to your downpipe, or it may need a little modification,
Frame rail needs to be hammered in slightly to clear the alternator.
If you dont have an Si, you will need an Si injector resistor (at least for the B18A).

Do lots of research before starting - hell, before even BUYING anything - and it will help ease you through it.
You'll also need an ECU to run that engine. Not sure which one exactly.
Also, to clarify a little: If your CRX is an Std or DX model (the middle of the line, between the HF and Si - some people call it a DX, but Honda usually just called it a "Std"), you'll need to do an MPFI swap beforehand. There are lots of good tutorials around for this.
If you're nervous about it, don't be. I had some friends help, and we pulled my D15B2 out of my '91 CRX DX, converted to MPFI, and dropped in a D16A6 (Si) engine in an afternoon. If you know someone who's good with wiring, buy them pizza and beer to help out.

Im planning on putting in a B18. I was interested in a B16 because I heard so many good things about VTEC, but was later told that you can not turbo a vtec... So a B18 it is. I believe I have an HF, 1990 for certain. I will try the search, and visit the links provided ("Youre my boy, Blue!"). Thanx to all for your input so far. Keep em comming.

hehehe, glad to help.
I dont know who told you about not being able to turbo a VTEC though. It's just a little harder to tune because of the VTEC x-over. But think overall you would make more power with the B16 if you were to turbo it. I hear that the B18a isn't very good to turbo becuase the head doesn't flow well and I forget what else. However it is a pretty inexpensive engine, so that might work out for you if you are on a budget. I dont know whatthe major differences are between the B18a and B18B as far as turboing them goes.
