Default 93 vtec reverse tranny don't work

I still can't get my tranny work but i was wondering what's inside that one look alike box on top of the tranny with a tube sticking out where it's for some reason to pour something in it. That thing has some kind of cable on it also. Can that be the problem that jam or something that i couldn't shift in reverse gear?? Thanks

im guessing its a five speed, sounds like a bent shift fork, i had three of them do the same thing like you said about not being able to go into reverse

So where does the shift folk located. Is it inside the tranny? or that silver box inside can be the problem?

its inside the tranny, but if you wanna be sure you can check the cable area just to see if something is caught in that area
