tilton vs. exedy
i did a half *** search and so... i know that tilton is probably three times the expense but is it that much more reliable (worth) than perhaps the exedy multi disc(twin) carbon carbon. people state that this would be the only clutch i would ever need. interesting because my friend bought erick's racing old tilton that was rebuilt. tia. choiboi.
whats the weight of the exedy twin disk/flywheel package?? what is the diameter of the clutches? IMO the main advantage of a multi disk clutch is to reduce the MOI of the rotating assembly while still holding power. i mean.. **** you can make single disk clutches hold the power.

This part of the statement is true, but I can gaurantee you will see problems with disengagement at higher RPMs with a single disk. Not sure about the weight etc, I'm sure it is on par with the tilton.

isnt the tilton like 3k versus 1k for exedy. well my friend uses a exedy twin disk metallic and after 18 passes the disc were gone. i guess we would be talking about 600+ hp with these kinds of clutches. is this a sfwd car?

That is weird, what kind of power? I was made 600-620 WHP all season, over 110 passes with preloading on the clutch and it is still in perfect shape (disks and all) some heat marks but that's all.

the Tilton clutch that goes for 3k is the triple disk carbon-on-carbon. There is a version that is dual-disk which goes for about $1300.00. The 3k is the gangster one which many claim will be the last clutch to buy.
