non vtec to vtec head

Default non vtec to vtec head

is there any way to convert my stock d15b7 head to vtec? what would be necessary other than a vtec cam and solenoid?

might be alot more involved than just Vtec solenoid etc. On the B7 head if you want to convert to vtec, to start you have to machine the area of the head to accept the vtec unit. you might be better off getting a d15 vtec head...I may be wrong, that's just my .02

yes just get the d16z6(92-95 ex) head and it will just bolt on, then all you need to do is wire it for vtec. and i know there is a write up on this site for that.

yeah i figured if it was going to be easy i would have already heard about it by now...i think ima just stick wit non vtec and just port and cam it.
