Default Hard to get into reverse...

I have a 92 lude si, with 130,000 miles on it. I bought it a year ago with 120,000 miles. It's starting to get really hard to get into reverse like i'll try to put it in, and sometimes it goes in, and sometimes i'll try 2 or 3 times, and have to let out completely on the clutch pedal and push back in and try it. Anybody know what this could be? It does it sometimes in 1st gear too.

Syncros going bad? Did you try changing the tranny fluid?

I doubt it's the synchros. There was a thread about it just being something that all ludes or manual cars themselves have to deal with, and seems like there is no solution to it. I have the same problem...it's quite annoying.

Yeah, I was going to say that. Prelude tranny's infamous for that. It's something you have to live with.

uhhh guys, reverse has no synchro.

Change your tranny fluid and see if that help. However, reverse in many cars is picky. All you have to do if it doesn't want to engage is let off the clutch slightly and it should pop right in.
