E-brake light stays on
Hey guys, i got this problem.
It seems, like this only happens when my motor is cold.??
but I get in my car start it, and take off the e-brake and go... E-brake all the way down.. obviously. But light stays on... this has been like this for a few weeks now. I do believe the e-brake is entirely disengaged because the car doesnt feel like its got any brake applied to it.
I was thinking maybe it was some electrical wireing into my cluster? But i dont know what wire... or where.
Any help plz?

correct. Check brake fluid. Get back to us.

Yep... the reservoir has a sensor in it. If the fluid level gets too low, it sends a signal to the computer, which triggers the brake (idiot) light, no offense intended.

After topping off, check out your pads. If your fluid level is low, it is usually the first sign that your pads are getting worn down (then followed by the squeeler). If the pads are fine, I'de check around for any fluid leaks.
Take apart your e-brake handle cover & make sure the switch is working.
Or, make sure the wires on the fluid cap are pluged in.
Also, you may need to take apart your fluid cap & make sure the floater is operating properly.
