Default need help with my 4th gen!

alright my lude has been hesitating lately, when i accelerate its hesitating and jerky..i tryed changing the fuel filter, spark plugs and oil, i looked at the cap and rotor it looks pretty good still but i dunno what else can it be? my vtec isn't hooked up but it wasn't like that before until recently, and i was running on the p14, so i tryed putting in the p13 today and it was worse idling rough also any ideas anyone? car is a 92 si with h22a1

Unplug your TPS and drive it around the block. If the problem goes away, then you need a new TPS or to adjust the one you have.

Just suggestions...

--Double check timing
--See if cat is clogged or old
--New wires
--New PCV valve
--Run some Seafoam through it

You shouldn't have been running the p14 ecu with the h22a1 motor

The p14 ecu is programmed to run 240cc injectors, not 345cc
which is what the h22a1 has.

A couple of questions for you.

1. How long have you had this motor in the car?
2. Which distributor are you using?
3. Which wiring harness are you using?
4. Have you checked the timing?
5. Did you do the swap yourself?

Sounds like whoever did the swap didn't really know what they were doing.
Otherwise they would have known better than to use the p14 ecu

bought the car like that, not sure who did it..its on the h22 dizzy dunno what kinda wiring harness but vtec wasn't hooked up, which im also in the process of doing now just need to find two ecu pins..it might be the timing cuz my friend advanced the timnig on the dizzy for me and it was actually driavble with the p13 ecu, before it wasn't advanced with the p13 it was bogging so much it had to be revved up to high rpms just go to

Keep the p13 ecu in there.

Get a timing gun on it asap and make sure it will
run right at 15%btdc.

it could be ur o2 sensor might be going out, a dead/dieing o2 sensor can cause hesitation / surging of ur engine and a lack of power. It might not be completely gone because if it was, it would throw a CEL, but it might be in the process of dieing.

finally got a sunny day and went to check the car out today and the first injector on the passenger side was missing the injector clip, so i put one on, and also found a vacuum leak behind the manifold where it has a long nipple sticking out, which seemed to have broke off..so i just JB welded it right now waiting for it to dry to see if that helps the hesitation..
