How much did you guys that had your cars repainted pay for the job? I know it depends on the kind of paint etc but I'm at the labor cost mostly.

I have a 91 Civic Dx sedan in light blue with the typical Honda wear spots on the hood and roof, either I change the shade of blue or change the car to a metalic ash grey, haven't decided yet but cost is a factor

Let me know some typical prices for paintjobs please and any stuff I should consider for or against...the body doesn't have any rust and there are 2 dents on the hood that are easily banged out and a scratch on the rear quarter panel thats into the metal. I'll prob deal with those on a slow weekend so they won;t be a factor.

 

Depends on were you go and who is doing it.
Alot of shops dont like doing color changes on newer cars so they give huge quotes.
Your best bet is to pay a body man to do it on the side, I work at a body shop and I know many people in the field and almost every single one of them will do work on the side for half the cost.
And if you want to help lower the cost even more remove as much as you can before you bring it in, the less we do the less you pay.
A good full color change on the side will star around 1500 and go up from there.
