Snapped end off of rear brake hard line..what to do now?

Default Snapped end off of rear brake hard line..what to do now?

Went to install my earls stainless brake lines and i ended up braking the fitting off of the hard line. I have no idea how i should go about fixing this

not the best pics but you can kind of figure out what im talking about..

was thinking the exact same, just hoping for a cheaper alternative..

This has happened to me and yes this is a HUGE PITA. The cheapest way to fix is to reflare the tube with a new fitting, but then your SS line will be slightly short. I would strongly recommend getting a new hard line. I wish I did, and if it ever happens again that is what I will do.

You could probably cut the hardline back, re-flare it, and add another short hardline on (using an adapter, check with a brake supplier) to make up for the length lost.

Make sure you check with a shop that is certified to do state inspections, to make sure that repairing it like that is legal and will still pass inspection. I know that NY has some stupid inspection guidelines. Just don't want to see you do all the work for nothing.
