The autistic guide to aftermarket piston and rod instal? (aka i need help)
Ok; I feel stupid for asking this but my brain is fried.
I'm installing a USED set of JE/SRP pistons into my d6z6 with a set of H-beam forged rods. My question is:
How do i orientate the pistons and rods in the block. I know with oe pistons the arrow on the piston pointed to the cam bear as did the writing on the rods.
Now with the forged pistons there are no arrows and the rods just have the part number on one side and the brand on the other.
How do orientate these in the block?
Now laugh at me for a while then help the "special" boy fix his motor

I found out that "[The] notches where the rod bearing dimples will fit into should be on the exhaust side (just like OEM rods)."
