speaker sizes for all hondas?
Hi im new here..I recently purchased a 2003 civic LX coupe...and I was wondering what the stock rear speaker sizes are...I found a list but it just doesnt seem right
Year Model Front Rear
1986-1997 Accord 6 1/2" 6x9"
1998-2002 Accord 7" 6x9"
2003 Accord 5 1/4" 6x9"
1984-1987 Civic 4" 6 1/2"
1988-1995 Civic 6 1/2" 6 1/2"
1996-1998 Civic 6 1/2" 6x9"
1999-2000 Civic 7" 6x9"
2001-2003 Civic 7" 7"
1997-2003 CRV 6 1/2" 6 1/2"
1984-1987 CRX 4" 6x9"
1988-1991 CRX 6 1/2" 6 1/2"
1993-1997 Del Sol 6 1/2"
1994-1995 Passport 4 " 5 1/4"
1996-1997 Passport 4" 4x6"
1998-2002 Passport 7" 4"
1988-1996 Prelude 6 1/2" 6 1/2"
1997-2001 Prelude 6 1/2" 6x9"
it says i have 7 in the fron and 7 in the back...but when i looked in the back it looked like 6x9...but i could be wrong...also how do i change the speakers...when i look in the trunk it looks like the screws are put in from above but above the speakers is a hard plastic deck lid that doesn't look easily removeable...is there anyway around this..
I had looked around in the other posts but hadn't found anything pertaining to the 03 civic lx coupe
any help is greatly appreciated

on a first note one part is incorrect. the 90-93 accords have a 5"(not a 5.25 or a 6.5) front and a 6x9 in the back.
Secondly just get a piece of .25 MDF wood and make a template from the orrigional speaker and drop in whatever size you want (in reason). Meaning put in eithor a 5.25 or a 6.5.
Never knew that they made 7" rounds.

well the fronts actually already sound really good...and the rears are stock pioneers so im guessing the fronts are too...but i already have infinity 6x9's from my old car...how much do you think circuit city would charge to have them installed...I already have the 4 year plan on them so no reason to not go for it...besides one of the rears sounds kinda like its buzzing when the bass hits where as the fronts sound perfect...I wouldn't even bother if it wasnt for that buzz....its quite annoying.....but yea 6x9 is what i thought..I should contact whoever made that list and let them know its wrong...

We charge $45 for a speaker install + $40 for RE+RE, the fronts on that car, [if they fit] we would charge the shop min. 1/2 hr , [$20] again about the same as most of the shops around here.
