Default Problems arise

I have a question about my little brothers 1990 Accord EX. One day it didn't start, it turns over and it has a spark. I was thinking it was a bad fuel pump fuse but I didn't see a fuse for that. Anywanys any info would be great. TIA

Check the fuse box under the hood.

You could also have your little brother turn the key to the on position and listen for the pump priming (2 second buzz).

I don't think the fuel pump is coming on. Should I change the ignition fuse under the hood?

Its going to be the main relay. Its located under the drivers side dash just beside the steering colume.

If the pump is not priming. Then fuel pump is bad, the main relay or the pump relay is shot.

Do you have a multimeter or a test light???

Under the dash, near the cruise control, you will find the main relay. Set key to on, and check for voltage at all the terminals, except for black (ground). I can't really remember which wire though.

One ot f those wires goes to the fuel pump relay. Look around under the dash you should see it. Again set the ignition to Start position and check for voltage.

If no voltage going out of the main relay, then bad main relay

If no voltage to the fuel pump relay, bad relay

If voltage comes out of the pump relay, then most probably bad fuel pump, unless you have a broken wire somewhere.

You can also check the relay with your fingers. Usually, then click when they go off.

Is the fuel pump relay one of these?
This picture is taken with the fuse panel under it and the main relay to the left of it.

After taking out every relay and then putting it back in it started. So I guess one of them was loose. Thank you filthy_shovel.
