ECU Code 41 Do I need to fix it immediately?
92 Honda Accord 2.2 4WS Auto, 115000miles. Fault code 41 (Primary oxygen sensor heater)
Is this a must fix right away problem, or can it wait for the next scheduled service? Will I do damage to the engine in the meantime? (Average only 5000 miles per year, mostly 3 mile journeys).
Lastly is there a way to reset the cel so it doesn't come on every journey?
Thanks, Ian

your car might not run as efficiently, but you won't cause any damage to the car driving like that.
The only way to get rid of the CEL would be to either replace the o2 sensor now (easy job, might as well do it), it will come back right away if you try to clear the codes.

Thanks, I've been quoted £280 for the part and £80 for 1 hours labour (does $525 approx at today's currency rate seem expensive for the part?) . Can anyone tell me the part number, so I can see if I can get it cheaper than at a dealer?

OUCH! that sounds very expensive to me, although my boss just paid almost $500 (us) to have his Toyota's o2 sensor replaced at the dealer.
It's very easy to change the o2 sensor, the sensor is under $150 at a parts store and can be changed with a ratchet and a special socket (~$7). HTH
