Default Car doesn't get hot, was overheating now to cold.

I just swapped in my jdm b18b into my 92 hatch. I drove it to a shop and back and around that day fine no unusual tempature problems. On the way home that day I noticed a weird smell and that the temp gauge was on at the top. Overheating. I pull over and check fluid it's all empty so I get some water until I can get home.

Once I got home I pour radiator fluid into my tank and the radiator until each are full. I let it run for 6 minutes or so and it starts pumping coolant back into the engine through the pipes etc. I go for a test drive and it never gets warmer. The hottest it ever got after going up hill + slight speeding was about 1/6th up, then went back down at a stop light.

I got home and changed the thermostat with an extra one I had. This had no positive effect. Any advise?

how long were u driving without coolant this could be very bad. you could have severly warped your cylinder head. may have caused some damage in other places as well.
