Might get a `95 Civic (Q's for you)
So there is this girl at my school that is selling her 5speed teal/green 1995 Honda Civic. I dont know the Model but i know that it is a 2 door. Im hoping its a hatch but i would be fine with a coupe. She said everything runs super well, but it has 120,000+ miles on it and it needs a new windsheild b/c it currently has a crack arcoss it. But 10 year old car with that many miles isnt so bad. And she is selling it for $1500 ( thats a good price )
right
???
Anyway im wondering what kind of options or quick things would you do to upgrade the car ? Im looking at a budget of like No More than $2500 spent (after i buy it) on the car b/c i might just turn around and sell it again. I want this to be a very Clean not over the top ride.
Im open to any options you guys might have.

She has owned the car for about 6 years and it has had all the right oil and fluid changes, new break pads like a year ago. She said one other thing, if someone wanted to buy and was going to do winter driving esp in here in Wisconsin, it would be a good idea to get new rubber.
I think with the teal/green exterior color, a nice set of 15-16" bronze or deep gold rim would be very nice for the 3 seasons and then throw on the stock ones for winter.

pretty good price...make sure to look it over thoroughly...no leaks or anything and make sure it runs good...ask if she's changed the timing belt and/or water pump recently

Oh of course if i even think about getting it, i will take it over to a local shop and have them check it out and make sure that there are no leaks anywhere with anything poss a compression test to make sure the engine will still go and wont die on me in a few months. ( i would do that myself but i really dont know under the hood very well )
So any ideas on some easy Mods for the car ? style and performance ?

hard to say what kinda mods u can add...
performance wise, not so sure since we dont know what model it is...but regardless of what model it is, maybe the usual i/h/e setup, suspension mods...
style wise, lower it and add a nice set of rims...
well for now, at least that's good enough for me on my green 95 civic

i payed $1800 for a 92 civic dx hatch, with 93,000 on it.
changed the timing belt and it should be good for 100 more
i'd say that price is good, especially if she has already had the timing belt changed (which should be done DEFF before 100k miles)
grab it

i paid 8-900 for the 2 hatches I have now and 750 for my first hatch. They were all in running condition, the first one had some minor body damage.
The red one 93 CX I have now had very very little rust, interior was good besides the driver seat and was in decent running condition, burned some oil. Then I blew up the CX motor, it was my fault and I didn't care because I had the LS swap raring to go in the garage.
My white hatch now 92 VX, is still in running condition, has some rust, great interior and runs OK, needs a few things like o2 sensor and cat but it's getting the other LS thats in my garage.
My old Blue 92 DX, needed a hood and actually ran pretty decent, had a rusted rear QP that I fixed, and the interior was good. I had put an LS in that also and turboed it later. I then crashed it.
I mean, I just got lucky but 1500 sounds like a decent deal, I wouldn't pay more than 1100 for a coupe because I'm not as much of a fan of them as I am hatches. If you have 2500 to spend after you get the car don't worry about the motor, just swap it after you get it. LS's or a b16's (ugghh, I'm not a fan of these either) are decent choices and fit in that price range. If it had a d16z6 (i think this is what was in the ex's, I don't do d series so bear with me) you could turbo that and make some decent power.

She said the price $1500 Obo so im thinking after i see some pictures and go see it in person and see how it is, maybe i can talk her down to a $1000 or at least a few hunderd lower.

That is a damn good price if the car is in good condition. Depending on the model of the car I would personally go with your basic bolt ons i/h/e, put some rims on the car and maybe a nice set of coilovers. Rims make Civic's look 10x's better.
If you want a fast civic then I would do a B16a2 swap, you can get a complete swap for 2300.

^^ That website is great they have engines and surprisingly enough.. rims and things.
