tranny question

is it possible to swap d16z6 tranny internals (diff,gears,ect) into a cable clutch housing(d16a6)? my tranny cries in 1st and 2nd. i have a hydro tranny lying around from my z6 swap. is it straight remove and replace or will it not work?
