Default Omni power slipovers....

Ok, so the omni power full coilover has become a very attractive suspension piece due to its quality and price that can't be beat. You see threads about them all the time. But what about the omni power slipovers? Is there anyone that can give an opinion of them?

I plan on pairing these to my tokico illuminas in the spring.

copy of the skunk2 and the skunk2 suck, they do use better springs, but don't say who makes them, so who knows how good they are

im using them with koni reds. this is my first after market set up so i cant compare em to anything really. i was pretty low at first and i bottomed out (shock travel) frequently, but im guessing thats due to the dampening on the shock cause i didnt bother setting them to stiff prior to the install. i did raise it up a fair bit and the ride is pretty nice. pretty nice on the twisties too. so far cant complain. i would also like to hear about anyone's experience with these, and what kind of shocks they're using.

According to Kteller.com, Roger Foo uses them. I don't know if they mean his street car or race car though.

I have them on my 91 hatch right now, along with AGX's. I like my cars low, dont care about a stiff ride, and never race the thing. I used to have ground control's, and they were nice, but with them as low as I liked, they were VERY bouncy. The omni's are still bouncy, but not as bad as the gc's were... however the gc's would go about 1/2 lower than the omni's will. In my opinion the omni's are great for what I paid for them ($100 shipped new )

The slip over coilovers are nice but your ride will always be fairly stiff (with high quality coilovers) and stiff as heck with generic ones. If I were you, I would go with the full Omni Coilover setup. The full setup is not much more than the Illuminas will be with the Omni Slip Over coilovers and will ride even better. Email me for pricing as we are one of only four official warehouse distributors of Omni in the U.S.

I already have the illuminas, so setting the damping stiffer is no problem for me.

Default OmniPower Sleeve Coilovers

I plan on getting these in the spring. My current set-up is KYB AGX's and Sprint Sport springs. I mainly want them for the stiffer spring rates and adjustablility. I'll probably keep my Sprints just in case.

roger is a freind of mine, his street car is a voltswagon TDI, and he doesn't race a car, yes at one point he was sponsored by skunk2, and omnipower's stuff is a copy of skunk2 so ya i guess at one point he did use there stuff, or could have used it

the skunk2 sponsored world challenge cars didnt use any skunk2 suspension pieces. just engines. their suspension was H&R, their other sponsor.

I placed my order, however the coilovers were not in stock. I called the business and they said they would refund me a portion of what I paid if I would wait until they got them back in stock.

and since we don't know who either of them are, I say go with GC's. The springs are made by Eibach.

i think omni's are cheap cuz alot of shops are whoring them out...kinda sucks for other shops who are trying to stay in buisness. I have omni's on my car and it rides pretty well on the street. Im not taking it to the track anytime soon so thats as far as my opinion goes.
