my front driver side (spindle/hub/whatever you call it) scrapes everytime i make a right....first came to mind was the dust shield, i bent the hell out of it but the scrapping is still there...my right is starting to do too but on a regular basis....i just replace my lower ball joints, could that be the problem

 

when you replaced your lower balljoint, did you have the metal ring that plugs into the hub and encircles the axle joint ever fall out?

its easy for these to pop off, especially when you push out the balljoint because theyre a bit in the way, but theyre a pain to get back in straight. mine was loose and would make a scraping and metal tinny ringing sound. i had to use a grease can to match the circumference of the ring to evenly push the ring back in position.

when you look at it can you clearly tell if it's lose of not?

 

nope, i had to take my axle out first to check. once i did, it just fell off since it wasnt being held in.

 

thanks i'll take a look this weekend, you guys have any other sugguestions to what might it be?
