First of all you didn't pull your key out of your starter.. Your starter is in the engine bay.

Your key goes in the ignition.

I have no idea what the problem could be.. Never heard of anything like this.. You could maybe try putting some lube on the key and then sticking it in.. or the teeth may be messed up in the ignition.

goodluck

Try to spray some WD-40 in the key cyl (of the igntion switch). Sometimes it gets dirty/stuck.

Don't use WD-40 in the ignition (the place where you put your key in to start the car). Use "graphite", you could get it in the automotive section of any grocery/drug store.

Yes, after you spray WB-40 in, cycle the key in and out then cycle it forward and backwards. You should feel the key start to turn easier.

Graphite will do nothing for a stuck pin. The only reason you would use gradhite over WB-40 is that WB-40 retains water.

yea, graphit works great if you actually maintain it before it goes bad. A stuck pin you kinda need a solvent/lube that won't gunk up, so wd-40 works great.

funny, because wd-40 was first invented to displace water..... not even ment to be a lube.
